We stock hundreds of Saint Jude medals. We have 14k gold St. Jude medals, sterling silver St. Jude medals and
gold over sterling St. Jude medals. All of these are available in both round and oval styles.
Engraving
Most of our St. Jude medals can be engraved.
We recommend using slant font if you have a lot to engrave. Heavy block font looks good for names dates and such.
We take great care with each engraving. Text is centered, enlarged, and reduced until it is just right. More can be engraved on round medals than on an oval medal.
We can engrave on most saint Jude medals
however round medals 18m, dime size, and up look the best because
the engraving is centered on all sides; and, because we can make
letters larger. We can engrave on oval medals however sometimes words need to be stacked.
Quality
Our Saint Jude medals are of the highest quality. Most of the 14k Gold Saint Jude medals are solid gold, however now many of the manufacturer are also making St. Jude medals in a hollow style.
Solid St. Jude medals can be engraved however hollow saint Jude medals should not be because the engraving head comes down hard and may dent the back of the medal.

Dime & our sterling ruler
Please use the dime in the image or the sterling ruler for size
of the St. Jude medal. A dime is 17.5mm, 11/16 inch. Also, one inch is 25mm.
12mm is about 1/2 of an inch.

Never Polish a Religious Medal Unless
it is sterling silver you can touch.
All the major US religious medal manufacturers gold plate, silver plate, or
spray their medals with lacquer varnish (that grey look).
You should never polish lacquered medals, the ones with a gray or
dark look because the polish will bond with the varnish. Buffing off all the varnish
is near impossible.
We order some medals from the manufactuers RAW (no lacquer) and we buff and
polish them until they are gorgeous. In addition to just buffing we change the
shape of the medal round places where they are sharp. It is physically hard to do, and can
only do about 2 a day. These have RWMG in the item number.
Others we attempt to buff off the lacquer but we can never get it all off.
What size medal to select, the finish and other information
Most manufacturers use weak jump rings. Broderick recommends you put on our strong ones.
